Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 2026
CardCabinet respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how CardCabinet handles information when you use the CardCabinet app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Information CardCabinet Stores
CardCabinet is designed as a local-first collection manager. The app stores the card collection information you choose to enter, such as card names, years, sports or games, teams, brands, sets, card numbers, notes, values, grading details, favorites, storage details, and card images.
This information is stored on your device and may sync through your private iCloud account if iCloud is enabled.
iCloud Sync
CardCabinet uses Apple iCloud and CloudKit to sync your collection across your Apple devices. Your collection data is stored in your private iCloud database associated with your Apple ID.
CardCabinet does not operate its own server for your collection data, and we do not have access to your private iCloud database.
Photos and Camera
CardCabinet may ask for access to your camera or photo library so you can add front and back images of your cards. Photos you select or take are used only inside the app for your card collection.
CardCabinet does not upload your photos to any third-party service. If iCloud sync is enabled, card images may sync through your private iCloud account.
CSV Import and Export
CardCabinet allows you to import and export card collection data using CSV files. Any CSV files you choose to import or export are controlled by you. CardCabinet does not send those CSV files to us.
Purchases
If CardCabinet offers paid features, subscriptions, or lifetime purchases, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. CardCabinet does not receive or store your payment card information.
Data We Do Not Collect
CardCabinet does not collect your personal collection data on our own servers. We do not sell your data. We do not use your card collection, images, or app activity for third-party advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Diagnostics and App Store Information
Apple may provide developers with crash reports, diagnostics, purchase status, and App Store analytics in accordance with Apple’s own privacy practices and user settings. This information is used to improve app reliability and performance.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your CardCabinet data remains on your devices and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account until you delete it.
You can delete cards inside the app. You can also remove app data by deleting the app from your devices and managing iCloud storage through Apple’s iCloud settings.
Children’s Privacy
CardCabinet is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because CardCabinet does not operate user accounts or collect collection data on our own servers, we do not knowingly store personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
