Illuminated doesn't collect, store, or share any personal information. There's no account, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Your saved verses, collections, reading plan progress, and style settings are stored on your iPhone. If you use iCloud, Apple syncs them between your own devices through your iCloud account. The developer can't see this data.

A photo you choose as a wallpaper background stays on your device. It isn't uploaded or synced.

Bible text

The app downloads Scripture from the Free Use Bible API (bible.helloao.org). These requests ask only for a translation, book, and chapter, and include nothing about you. Like any website, that service may see your device's IP address when it answers a request.

Photos

Illuminated asks permission only to add images to your photo library, when you save a wallpaper or share image. It doesn't read your library. When you choose a background photo, iOS gives the app only the photo you pick.

Children

Illuminated is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
